Editor's Note: The Spring 2023 Issue
We are thrilled to present to you the Spring 2023 Edition of the Yale Journal of International Affairs. As the world continues to be beset with turmoil, war, climate change, food insecurity and numerous other challenges, this collection of articles offers insightful analysis and innovative solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing our global community.
The edition includes the most compelling pieces received by the Journal in the spring term, selected through an author-blind review process. Our contributors explore a wide range of themes, including Russia’s war against Ukraine, U.S.–China competition, maritime security, technological innovation, international trade, climate change, food systems, women in the workforce, international development, and regional integration, with a focus on ASEAN and Eurasia.
We intend for this edition to provide thought-provoking insights to the global community as we navigate these key global challenges. It is our hope that the perspectives and solutions presented herein will spark meaningful discussions and contribute to positive change.
